Common Blood Tests We Provide

Our clinic offers the most common routine lab tests, with results typically available within a few days.

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC): A CBC is one of the most common blood tests. It measures the types and numbers of cells in your blood, including red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. The results can help screen for conditions like anemia, infection, and various blood disorders.
  • Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP): This group of 14 tests provides a snapshot of your body’s chemical balance and metabolism. A CMP measures glucose, electrolytes, and key indicators of kidney and liver function, helping your doctor identify potential issues with these vital organs.
  • Lipid Panel: Also known as a cholesterol test, a lipid panel measures the fats in your blood, including total cholesterol, LDL (“bad”) cholesterol, HDL (“good”) cholesterol, and triglycerides. The results are crucial for assessing your risk of heart disease and stroke.
  • Other Routine Tests: We also perform tests for hormone levels, blood sugar (glucose), and more. If your physician has requested a specific test, simply bring your lab order, and we’ll handle the rest.

How to Prepare for Your Blood Test

For the most accurate results, some blood tests require specific preparation.

  • Fasting: For tests like a lipid panel or glucose test, you may be asked to fast (not eat or drink anything other than water) for 8-12 hours before your blood draw. This ensures that the food you consume doesn’t temporarily affect your levels.
  • Medications and Water: Be sure to discuss any medications, vitamins, or supplements you are taking with our provider. It is always a good idea to drink plenty of water before your test to stay hydrated, which makes it easier for our team to find a vein.
